Our Services
Facility
Our facility is designed to maximise living space and residents are able to sit in the gazebo are or walk in our landscaped gardens. Our environment consists of eight wings: four wings where residents live, as well as four wings that houses the administration area, dining area, recreation area, and care support area.
Each room has a private ensuite an air condition unit and is fully furnished and serviced. Rooms are designed to maximise the living space.
Quality and Safety
Pine Lodge Home for the Aged is accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency and provides a high standard of care and services that has been acknowledged through the accreditation process since 2000.
Our facility is designed and built to meet Government requirements for safety, security, privacy and space requirements.
Doctors and Other Health Professionals
Residents are able to retain the services of their own general practitioner (GP) when they enter Pine Lodge if their GP is able to attend. Doctors and health professionals’ visits on a regular basis, when called by a registered nurse or as requested. Each resident has a choice of nominating their own doctor or health professional, other than the one who visits Pine Lodge.
Nursing care and personal care
Pine Lodge has appropriately qualified and trained staff to meet residents’ needs in all aspects of care and service delivery. Registered nurses are available 24 hours a day to manage and monitor resident care in collaboration with endorsed enrolled nurses, personal care staff, recreational officers and allied health professionals.
Hairdresser
A mobile hairdresser visits Pine Lodge regularly or by individual appointments. Residents are asked to make an appointment. A nominal fee is charged for the service
Voting
Voting is compulsory for all people who are registered on both state and federal rolls. Polling booths are arranged on the premises whenever possible for the convenience of residents. Postal voting can also be organised
Lifestyle and recreation
The lifestyle program is developed in consultation with residents and coordinated by the recreational officer and a group of volunteers. A variety of recreational and social activities, group and individual activities are provided for residents’ enjoyment. Special events of cultural and religious significance are celebrated and outings such as shopping trips are available for residents in accordance to their preferences.
Religious and Spiritual needs
Residents who belong to a religious faith are encouraged to practice according to their rituals. Management can arrange visits of ministers/spiritual advisors as requested by residents or their families.
